  3. Connect with IFSA Talent

There’s more than one way to get involved and tap into IFSA’s pool of tech-focused students.

1. Challenge projects

Each semester, groups of IFSA Tech Career Accelerator students tackle prescribed assignments from Prague-based companies. This is your opportunity to:

  • Fix a technical issue
  • Research a new opportunity
  • Approach a thorny problem in a new way

The ClimaMonitor Challenge. Students designed a web-based chat user interface for an educational platform that helps young students learn about climate change.

The ECOTEN Urban Comfort Challenge. Students developed a new version of a web-based geospatial platform that uses NASA/ESA data to help urban planners make informed climate-related decisions.

The Hexagon Challenge. For this global provider of digital reality solutions, students completed a technical and commercial analysis of technologies that enable non-destructive testing.

The Justcat.it Challenge. Students evaluated options for leveraging AI to expand the capability of software designed to improve data quality.

The Operator ICT Challenge. Students developed and proposed a strategy for the city of Prague to implement AI and machine learning to increase efficiency.

The Therahub Challenge. Students created a web-based digital literacy test to match patients to appropriate healthcare software tools for a better user experience.

The Wootera Challenge. Students developed an AI/machine learning strategy to give this company a clear framework to use as they create more products and services.

And many more! Ask us for details.

1. Meet with IFSA to finalize the scope and details of your project.

2. Attend a kick-off meeting with IFSA participants and our project coordinator.

3. Attend one or two check-ins to gather feedback and monitor progress.

4. Attend the final presentation. Take away your deliverables, ready to apply to your projects and endeavors.

2. Internships

Have an IFSA Tech Career Accelerator student join your staff in a defined role for at least ten hours a week (paid or credit-bearing). Internships range from eight to ten weeks during our summer and semester-length programs.

3. Guest speakers

Foster the next generation of tech innovators and boost your CV by sharing your story, experience, and specialized knowledge with IFSA Tech Career Accelerator students. Examples include:

  • Petr Václavek, Feb Ventures, Advice for Aspiring Founders
  • Petr Ryšavý, Data Mining in Biology: How applied research is being used in biological data science at Czech Technical University
  • Andrej Boleslavsky, Creative Coding: How an acclaimed artist is using code to create real-time interactive installations

4. Company visits/workshops

Welcoming IFSA students to your workplace for a few hours provides a look inside the world of professional tech and brings career descriptions to life. Examples include:

“[Students’] enthusiasm and quick grasp of complex concepts during our workshop challenge were beyond our expectations and brought new energy to our projects.”

—Kateryna Timanova, Creative Dock

5. Networking events

Get to know our program and students in an informal environment. We regularly take students to events like Truesdays, a Prague meetup for people involved in tech and business. IFSA Tech Career Accelerator events at our center in historic Villa Grébovka also provide opportunities. See our Events page to learn more.

6. Industry network

Partnering with IFSA and our Tech Career Accelerator program has perks for founders, tech-focused companies, and organizations that rely on tech for everyday operations:

  • Opportunities to network, scout talent, and explore new business opportunities.
  • A mention on our website that shows your dedication to the tech industry.
  • Access to our amazing space in the heart of the city.
